Fashion Tips for 50-Plus Women - Wardrobe Tips for Women Over 50

Make choosing an outfit effortlessly when you are over fifty years old. Don't give a second chance to select most fashionable clothes and make you look pretty. Here are five tips for 50-plus women who never consider their outfit and always choose wardrobe pieces wisely.

If you wonder how to dress after fifty, you are not alone. At some point, someone decided that at twenty you have to dress in such a way, at thirty of another, and so on for each decade. I'm going to break up a bit with these stereotypes and tell you what in my experience works for every woman, no matter how old she is. To begin with, think that you have reached 50 or 60 or more, so you have every right to dress as you please. On the other hand, you are sure that you have adapted your wardrobe to how you look and feel over the years. Here I tell you my fashion tips and tell me then what you think and how you approach the evolution of your style.

1. Do not be a slave to fashion.

Age confers character and style. Surely you have acquired it almost without realizing it. Look at your wardrobe and ask yourself what your personal style is. Do you like formal dresses? More relaxed? Hippy? The way I buy clothes now is that I look online or in a store, I try, and if I love it from the beginning, then I take it home. If I have to ask a friend or I doubt, it is not for me. It can be good for someone else, but if "I do not see" with it, I discard it. I recommend you do the same because after all, it is you who have to feel comfortable and at ease.

2. Highlight your attributes and hide your weaknesses.

If you have long legs and thin, so wear a skirt above the knees while you fit. On the other hand, if your neckline is not what it was and you prefer to hide it, do it. I think they are decisions that you are taking every day. As my body changes, I modify my wardrobe. That low-cut dress I loved five years ago does not make me feel comfortable. So I will buy another that highlights my arms for example, or whose flight makes me feel ethereal and fantastic.

3. Dress according to your figure and not your age.

Although I am 51, it turns out that in the United States, where I live, I find it difficult to find clothes of my size in the ladies' sections. I am of a thin constitution and, well, for my clothes to be right I have to buy them in the girl's department. Naturally, I try not to make a fool of myself and buy a tight and transparent top to wear during the day, but I do choose clothes without thinking if they were designed for someone my age or a younger woman. If it suits me well, that's what matters.

4. Have fun with the accessories.

The simplest clothes you can turn into stylish by changing accessories. Rings, necklaces, earrings, bracelets. They do not have to be gold or silver. Accessories will brighten your face and even lift your spirits. You must you will realize how you are getting better new styles. From a very young age, I loved the short necklaces. Now that the neck is losing elasticity I notice that I have better necklaces that also distract the view to a point other than the neck.

5. She wears cute and comfortable shoes.

I confess that after punishing my feet with high heels since I was 15, I inherited the bunions of my grandmother, which I adore with or without bunions. The issue is that today, fortunately, there are shoes very nice and comfortable. In that sense, I love the platforms, because they give you the height without sacrificing comfort. When I go to an event, I often wear flat shoes in my bag to change as soon as my feet hurt after wearing heels for a while. Some brands I like, Born, Nine West, Clarks, Korkease, and Aerosoles.

These are just some of the ways I approach the wardrobe from the 50's. I'd love to know how you do it!
